Sopwith Camel

The Sopwith Camel evolved from the Sopwith Pup and was conventionally wire-braced with fabric/wooden wings. The fuselage was a wire-braced wooden box that was covered with light alloy on the front, plywood on the cockpit, and the back of the plane was covered with fabric. It had a twin synchronized 7,7 mm machine gun and was generally powered by a 130 hp Clerget 9B engine, a 150 hp Bentley B.R.1 or the 110 hp Le Rhône engine.
